Quick Weight Loss: Fact or Myth

January 23, 2010

For most of us, finding a quick way to lose weight is just impossible. Sometimes, looking for the quick way can actually add to your problem. You have to accept that effective weight loss is something that you must achieve, not something that you find in a pill.

Only one thing is required for you to lose weight. Consume fewer calories than you burn.

Changing your daily eating habits is the best way to begin> Since your metabolism goes up each time you eat, having several small meals each day will keep it elevated, burning more calories. And never forget that what you eat is just as important as how you eat.

Foods containing fat, starches, carbohydrates, and sugars have doomed many weight loss efforts. To lose weight, you will have to replace many of these foods with fruits and vegetables. Those that are unwilling to make this small sacrifice are doomed to failure.

Increased physical activities are another “must” for effective weight loss. Never take the elevator when the stairs are available. At the mall, park as far from the door as you can. I’m sure that you can think of many ways to increase your level of activity.

The most important thing is that you must resolve to never give up. Body weight is just as slow to leave as it is to appear.
